Aside from our annual charity bike ride in May, Pedal of Honour also operates as an informal cycling group based in Berkhamsted. With decades of riding locally between us, we’ve pretty much got the Chilterns dialled in and offer routes to suit all abilities. Local knowledge of rest stops help too! We are a friendly and inclusive bunch and meet most weekends. Get in touch on the Facebook page for updates.

Occasionally though we had further afield and below are a few of the expeditions we are considering for 2018.

Saturday April 7: A 50 miler to Maidenhead and back, crossing the Thames at Cookham and heading back via Marlow.

Saturday May 6: Chiltern Cycleway Southern section. A 100 miler following the officially signposted cycle route through the Chilterns. For more information about the route see HERE.

Saturday May 12: Pedal of Honour – our annual charity bike ride from Berkhamsted to Marlow in aid of local hospices. 100kms (62 miles) through the Chilterns on quiet country lanes, visiting four great pubs as we go. Get involved!

Saturday June 2: The Don Quixote – regular rider, JLC’s, obsession with windmills sees us visiting all that Buckinghamshire has to offer.

Thursday June 21: A bit of a different direction for Pedal of Honour this year – Eastwards! In homage to the famous Dunwich Dynamo ride from London to the Suffolk coast on the longest day of the year we thought we’d organise our own overnight 120 mile jaunt from Berkhamsted to Aldeburgh to commemorate the summer solstice. Riders will not only need decent legs for this one, but very good lights too as it gets pretty dark out towards the east coast. But that’s all forgotten as we hit the beach for sunrise and a well earned kip. More details to follow. See the route HERE
